What a recall is
A recall is a procedure by which a manufacturer remedies a confirmed defect on a specific batch of vehicles. This guide explains how to carry out the check yourself; it does not claim that an active campaign exists for your vehicle.
How to check
The check is always carried out using your vehicle's unique chassis number.
- Copy the chassis number from the vehicle registration certificate.
- Check the vehicle's service history.
- Contact an authorised service centre for your vehicle's make.
